Listening To YOUR Feedback and More - Lil' Cherry's Tree 1.25 Update
(Disclaimer, I am writing this at 12 at night because I accidentally scheduled my YouTube devlog to 12:30 AM instead of 13:30 PM. So this written devlog may sound rushed)
After finishing Lil' Cherry's Tree for the GoGodot Game Jam, I received a lot of feedback. A lot of it was positive, but people did point out some glaring issues that needed to be fixed. What I didn't know when fixing all the issues people had, is that I would be able to finish so quickly. So I decided to add a water limit feature to make the game have some more replayability.
With that all being said, I am happy to announce Lil' Cherry's Tree Version 1.25!
List Of Changes In This Build:
- Water Meter - Helps the player be aware of how much water they have left
- Bird Hitbox Reduced - To make the bird easier because it was a bit too difficult before. Its hurtbox is still the same so you can still shoot it just as easily
- Controller Support - Move around with the analog stick and shoot water with A/B (Xbox or Switch) or O/X (PlayStation). However, the controls button only shows how to use the keyboard controls. This will be changed in a future build
- Improved Death Animation
- Fixed Menu Buttons Bug
- Proper Icons (Windows and Mac?)
- Water Limit Options - You can now change the amount of water you can shoot! You can go as low as 2 and as high as 10. I feel like this will add a lot more replayability to the game =)
- Volume Options - You can change the volume for the Sound Effects and the Music
- Enemy Generation Code Overhaul - Some enemies may spawn at a different rate than before
I recommend checking out the devlog on the Acro Projects YouTube channel if you want to know the specifics on why I made certain changes and support the game:
